Closing this section on the work of Christ in our salvation, the attention focuses on the work of Christ in our inheritance and our predestination. Paul gives us the means to this end and the end of the verses from 7-13 and that is the praise and glory of God. Everything that is planned by God and carried out by His will is for the praise and glory of His name.
As the family of God, both Jew and Gentile, this must be our chief ends as we glorify God and enjoy Him forever as the confession tells.
