Paul begins his prayer for the Ephesian church looking to God first. His prayer going forward stems from it, but Paul's desire is for the church to grow in maturity. To take hold of the Spirit that resides within, and trust in His evergrowing sanctifying work of the believer.
Verses 18 and 19 boast wonderful and magnificent promises of God upon the believer. We have wisdom and revelation from the Spirit, and therefore, we are given the ability to see the great power of God in might and strength.
