The people of the age that we live in is fascinated by the newness of just about everything. Remakes of familiar classics whether songs or movies are seen as something brand new. The constant upgrades whether it be cars, phones, or anything that is seemingly new are all around us. But what does the Bible have to say about the subject of "newness?" And how do we apply the Old Testament to the springboarding of a New Year? Isaiah 44:1-5 has much to say about the promises and blessings to Israel, as well as the promises that have already occurred concerning the New Testament church. What Isaiah 44:1-5 says to us today is that the world is in desperate need of the truths from of old that have the power to make a sinner brand new.
