Through Christ, Christians are able to see clearly the will of God. It is no longer a mystery to us. In so doing, Christ has actuated the plan of salvation for His covenant people. All those in the Old Testament and in the New are saved by Jesus' finished work by dying on a cross on rising 3 days later.
God has meticulously planned our salvation. It is not by chance. Therefore, Christians today must be active to work out this salvation in their everyday lives (Philippians 2:12).
We do so until the heavens and earth are gathered to Christ at that last glorious day when we will see our salvation carried out to its fullest and complete extent. To God be the glory great things He has done!
